Downloading, Setting Up, and Booking Classes with the SportMate App

  • Download the SportMate app to your phone (IOS / ANDROID),
  • Open the app,
  • Register your own account,
  • Set up at least one billing address—without this, online payment will not be possible!
  • In the app, search for Shinden DOJO and join,
  • On the Shinden DOJO page in the app, purchase your ticket/pass by clicking on the “Ticket Purchase” icon (if this is your first time, look for the free trial ticket!). For help choosing the right ticket/pass, click HERE.
  • Book your class by clicking on the “Classes” icon. Select the desired class from the calendar, choose the ticket/pass you want to use, and click “Book Now.”

Which ticket/pass should I choose? Are there any discounts available?

If you’re coming to a class for the very first time, make sure to use the free trial ticket!
If you’re a returning guest, it’s more cost-effective to purchase one of our passes, which give you access at a better price per session. The more sessions your pass includes, the lower the price per class.
If you plan to attend multiple services at the same time (for example, Edit’s Shaping Workout along with Functional Training), we recommend choosing one of the Shinden DOJO combined passes!

Available discounts:

  • First session: 100% free
  • Student discount: %
  • Senior discount: %
  • Special coupon promotions

Discounts cannot be combined with other permanent discounts. For your first visit, please show a valid student or senior ID at the reception desk to be eligible. If you register online, let us know about your discount request before purchase so we can activate it in the system!

Can I book for multiple people with my pass?

If you’re not coming alone but with your partner, friend, or child, you can book multiple spots using your selected pass! All you need to do is make the bookings one after another in the app. Please note: this function only works with passes, not with single tickets!

How can I pay?

Through the SportMate app:

  • By bank card
  • With balance – Top up your account balance and use it for later purchases
  • With coupon

On-site at the reception:

  • By cash
  • By bank card

Other options:

Where can I find the prices?

  • In the app, under the “Ticket Purchase” section
  • On our website, within each specific service page
  • In our Webshop

Do I always need to book classes in advance? What happens if a class is full?

It’s not always mandatory to book in advance, but it is highly recommended!
Each class has a participant limit, and if you don’t book ahead, spots may already be taken. For example, the Pilates class in the yoga room has a maximum of 10 participants, so it can fill up quickly. If you haven’t booked in advance, you might miss out!

If a class is full, it will no longer appear in the SportMate app for that day, meaning you cannot select or book it.

Waiting List (SportMate – New Feature)

The SportMate app has been expanded: from now on, you can sign up for a waiting list if a class is fully booked.

How does it work?

  • If a class is fully booked, the system offers the option to join the waiting list.
  • If someone cancels their booking and a spot becomes available, SportMate sends a push notification to those on the waiting list – only to users who signed up.
  • The available spot goes to the person who books it first (“first click, first served”).

Important information

  • You can join the waiting list only with a valid ticket or an active pass.
  • If a class is fully booked, a cancellation does not deduct a session from your pass.
  • The waiting list is activated only for fully booked classes, and compensation occurs only if the freed-up spot is actually booked by someone.

Change in cancellation deadline

  • The cancellation deadline has been changed to 6 hours.
  • If you cancel your participation within 6 hours before the class starts, please also notify us via private message.

What happens if I book a class but don’t show up?

At Shinden DOJO, you can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the class starts. In this case, the session will not be deducted from your ticket or pass.

I don’t want to use the app!

If you prefer not to use the app to book classes, you can register through the following options:

Please note, however, that in this case we cannot guarantee your booking, as it depends on online reservations made in the meantime.

Joining the Classes

What should I bring to class?

  • Indoor shoes
  • Towel
  • Water or other drink
  • Yoga mat (if you prefer to use your own)
  • If you’d like to shower or use the sauna afterwards, bring what you need (e.g. flip-flops, shower gel)
  • For Boxing: hand wraps, boxing gloves (we can provide equipment for your first class if you request it in advance); later, a mouthguard is recommended
  • For Kickboxing: hand wraps, boxing gloves, shin guards, mouthguard
  • For Karate: for your first class, comfortable sportswear (e.g. tracksuit bottoms/shorts and a T-shirt)

My fitness/experience level

Regardless of fitness level, gender, or age—everyone can find their place with us!

  • I am a complete beginner
  • I am a senior and would like to stay active
  • I used to do sports and now I want to start again
  • I want to maintain my health with 1–2 workouts per week
  • I want to get a beach body for the summer!
  • I am an athlete/competitor and want to push my limits with additional training

Is participating in martial arts dangerous for beginners / children / women?

No need to worry—it’s just as safe as most other sports, as long as you follow your instructor’s guidance!
During the first few weeks and months, the focus is on learning the basics: performing punches, kicks, and blocks correctly, and building endurance.
Our Karate and Boxing classes are attended by many children and women, and our goal is to create a safe environment for everyone!
Please note: Kick-Boxing classes are only available for participants over the age of 18.
